Abyssal Awakening: The First Magus [LitRPG Apocalypse]

Derek Blake, once a celebrated swimmer, now works as a lifeguard at a luxury hotel, his former glory overshadowed by a career-ending injury and the heavy burden of his mother's medical bills. Derek numbly endures his life reduced to a monotonous routine, but his world is violently upended when a cataclysmic event strikes. Derek awoke to find himself alone, adrift in an endless ocean, with no explanation and no way out—except for a mysterious system that offered him a lifeline. It presented him with a choice: select a class and gain the abilities needed to survive in this treacherous new reality. Drawn by his deep connection to water, Derek chose the path of the Water Mage. But the power he hoped to wield remained frustratingly out of reach. Now stranded in a world where danger lurks beneath every wave, Derek must confront terrifying creatures and face impossible odds, armed only with his determination and untested magic. As he battles for survival, he stumbles upon something extraordinary—an ancient, forgotten power hidden deep within the waters.
