Aegis [Stubbing July]

[Note: This story will be stubbed sometime around end of July. If you want to catch up with the story, make sure you read up to Chapter 103 before then!] The realm is fractured. The people are divided. Humanity's creator has perished long ago; now, they are doomed to stagnate under the celestial expanse, nations waging war in a desperate attempt to claim dominion over what little of the land remains. Yet, not all is forsaken. A Comet has been birthed by the earth and sky. Their descent brings forth a rare boon long thought lost to the ravages of despair: hope. And so the forces of the world begin to move in earnest, bewitched by the promise of a brighter morrow. One is a winged King, their will confined to the gilded cage that is duty. One is a malicious Corvid, gaze transfixed to the horizon whispering of conquest. And one is a nameless Knight. Forgotten. Slumbering. Ready to fulfill its purpose. The age of heroes and legends approach once more: here, in the dawn of mankind's final epic. This is a rewrite of an already completed novel that finished running in December of 2023. It is still on Royal Road if you want to peruse it while waiting for the new chapters to come out, but I first began writing it while very inexperienced with prose, grammar, and pacing in general. Thus, the quality of it isn't as polished as I would prefer it to be, so I'm doing a full rewrite to really bring this world of mine the love and care it deserves. Here is the link to the original: Aegis: The First Attempt If you want to try a more LitRPG focused story of mine, check out The Distinguished Mr. Rose I would also like to give a warm thank you to HWPerfidy for creating the cover art for this novel, and to Wong40k, GabbieMok, and X-luminoux-x for the art/mixing in subsequent volumes. I am spoiled to receive such help. And thank you to those who joined Aegis during its initial run. You gave me the motivation to keep on writing, and this series would not be the same without the valued feedback and support I received from the kind people in this community. May the Stars bless you all.
