Aetherias Ascent

When May Phoenix awakens from cryostasis, she's greeted not by salvation, but by chaos. A crumbling outpost, her memories in tatters and the stark reality that her species, the legendary Aetherians, is teetering on the brink of extinction. Stranded in the shadow of a collapsing mountain on a forgotten moon, she faces a grim truth. Her survival is in no way guaranteed. Her only companion? A malfunctioning AI with fragments of its memory intact. Together, they must achieve lofty goals. They have to repair an ancient space station long past its prime, fend off the ambitions of alien civilizations and evade the fiery debris of an interstellar war raging above their heads. Every second counts as life support dwindles, an antimatter reactor teeters on the edge of detonation and galactic superpowers close in, eager to claim the Aetherians’ enigmatic technology for themselves.   But May isn’t just fighting for survival. Armed with her indomitable will and the faint remnants of her people's unfathomable technology, May must rise above the chaos and stake her claim as the inheritor of an empire that once inspired both terror and wonder across the cosmos.   The path ahead is fraught with peril and failure means oblivion, not just for her, but for the last remnants of the Aetherian legacy. Yet, against impossible odds, May vows to transform the dying ember of her civilization into a blazing beacon of dominance and hope.   The galaxy’s eyes are on her. Will she ignite a new era for the Aetherian Empire, or become another forgotten relic of history? This story contains from time to time pictures of different scenes. Some of the pictures are drawn by me, while others were created by using an AI. Accordingly, below every picture used in the novel, one can find a short comment if the AI made the picture or if I drew it myself. The cover picture is always drawn by myself.
