An Age of Mysterious Memories

An Age of Mysterious Memories invites you into Reggie’s mind—a mind haunted by strange memories, and a world that’s barely holding together. Reggie, Lil, Luni, Teuila, and a handful of allies navigate brutal landscapes and strange realities, where survival depends on not just strength, but trust, memory, and a will that’s been broken and patched together more times than they can count. At its core, this is the story of someone wrestling with PTSD, anxiety, and a fluid sense of identity in a world that seems to rewrite itself at every turn. Reggie’s thoughts are fragmented and intense, a stream of consciousness that reflects their fears, humor, and grief. And while their narration may be unreliable, it’s raw, immediate, and painfully honest. Relationships become lifelines, and every conversation pulses with the weight of lives lost, promises kept, and secrets withheld. It’s an adventure of gritty survival, but also of personal growth, where courage is found not in fearless heroics but in small acts of kindness and fierce loyalty. If you’ve ever felt drawn to worlds that live and breathe like the best RPGs, where magic and mechanics intertwine and every encounter feels like the roll of a cosmic dice, you’ll find something familiar here. But this story isn't bound by genre expectations or easy conclusions. Instead, it walks a path all its own, one that’s full of echoes from anime, manga, and games, yet never afraid to subvert the familiar. The journey isn’t easy, and the odds aren’t in their favor. But maybe, just maybe, there’s something waiting on the other side worth fighting for. For those that are interested, I've got spreadsheets for all of Books 1-3.  I even use a certain lootgen that others can try to get similar loot results with.  Eventually when I finish book nine, one of my projects is going to be going back through the entire series to paste the litRPG spreadsheets and tables in each chapter, for now, snippets of them are available here or there in the text, and more are available over on my patreon. ***Announcements!*** Hopefully people enjoy the new more cohesive cover art as I finish putting together the volume covers for each of the six volumes in my own personal art style as I learn Krita. Updates are subject to randomness (Due to RL health issues that have gotten far worse recently).  Following or favoriting keeps you up to date, despite my weirdness. An Age of Perilous Prologues is the prologue to the story, how Reggie and Lil met, what Day One is, and explanations of some of the systems from Reggie's point of view.
