Cherry Bomb; or, the final days of the Golden State.

*Entry in the March 2023 Stray Cat Strut Fanfiction Contest! Prequel set in the Cyberpunk/Magical Girl world of SCS* Jet Galleani is trying very hard to slip into her identity as a small-time assistant to the Mayor of San Francisco- a role far divorced from her previous life. This reinvention is made more difficulty by the fight her new boss seems determined to pick: with the United States of America. When an antithesis incursion floods the civic centre, the opportunity to fall back into old ways proves too tempting for Jet. After all, California is going to need her latest vanguard to grow up fast, if she's going to affect the coming war: Cherry Bomb will have to move quick.
