Empire's Son: An Epic Science Fiction Novel Series

Readers can expect: male lead with other multiple character points of view, soft science fiction, character focus, world building with each novel delving into new worlds and new technologies. Just a warning. This story does have some profanity and occasional suggestive and sexual content, but nothing explicit. This story is about: a man who grew up on Earth, but finds out he is really from another galaxy. This story follows his return to his birth home and how he handles being thrust into a new culture, an advanced technology society, dealing with multiple threats of those who would rather he not returned. Empire’s Son is the first book of this series, and is the name of this series as well, which will have many, many books in it. This will be a slow burn story that builds the main character and story into the epic world of the EthiaVerse.  Book 1: Empire's Son There’s an alien ship hovering over Lake Thurmond in Georgia, and come to find out, it’s here for me… Hello, my name is Michael Layton, or at least I thought it was. Before the ship came, I was just a regular Earthbound guy. Well, as regular as the son of a CEO of a billionaire tech company can get that is. I’m also a proud graduate of MIT and already one year into a bright future of engineering at New Horizons, but all that doesn’t matter after the ship shows up. There it is for the entire world to see and broadcasting live from every channel––that large hulking black thing hanging in the air. And in that moment of naked truth, all the world finally knows there really is life out there. If only that was the most astonishing thing I learned. Later that same day, my parents make a startling confession––the ship has come from a far off galaxy called Ethia, and it’s here for me. Now I find myself in an impossible situation with an impossible decision, and all I really know for sure is my life is about to change forever. Note: Book 1 will be up on Amazon as ebook soon.  Book 2: Dark Guardian I have begun my new life here in the Empire, but the more I learn about Ethia, the more I realize I’m way out of my depth… My name is Adar Zahn, or at least that’s what I’m going by these days. For twenty years, I lived on Earth thinking that was my true home with no memories of anything else. Then my birth father found me and brought me to a whole other galaxy. Since I’ve taken on my Ethian name and life, I’ve had three different attempts to end it. Not to mention the looming threat of three brothers who resent that I was ever born, and are threatened by my return to Ethia. Now I’m headed to a planet called Sora X and the College there that produces the absolute best at personal protection. I hope I can find someone I can trust to watch my back, and maybe even keep me from blundering into the next hazardous situation. It seems that my lack of knowledge about Ethia is working against me and I’m not entirely sure I’m going to survive this place of my birth. Book 3: Blood Bond  Since returning to Ethia, I've realized there are quite a few people who would have preferred if I had never come back to my birthplace... My name is Adar Zahn, and I’m trying my best to get used to my life as an Ethian citizen. I've been here just over a month, and in that time, and all I’ve managed to do is establish an uneasy relationship with my birth father, anger several powerful people and a major organization, and almost die––twice. Well, I suppose it hasn’t been all bad. I’ve learned quite a lot of about Ethia, including understanding my responsibilities in my new position and developing a renewed resolve to finally embrace it. I’ve also made a few new friends, and become reacquainted with a some old ones too.  My trip to the Protectorate College didn’t go as expected, but at least I’m leaving with some people who want to support and help me. That’s more than what I had when I got here. But I can’t help but be concerned about those that are still out there who wish to see me dead. Where did they disappear to? When will my brother strike next? And why did my call to Admiral Vang for help go unanswered? New chapters are posted every Wednesday and Saturday.
