Local Heroes: The Glory Road [Epic Progression Fantasy]

Where do you go when you run out of options? The Honorable Guild of Vagabonds and Wayfarers accepts everyone, regardless of past indiscretions. Records are wiped clean, crimes are forgotten, and futures can be forged anew. At least that's how it's advertised.  A man with a dark past. A new land of unclaimed riches and unknown danger. Can a mercenary find the hero within himself before an ancient evil covers the land in darkness? Vash Ballard is a marked man. The half-elven assassin has been abandoned by the secretive cult that trained him. Now, to save his life, he joins the Wayfarer's Guild. Forsaking his oaths, he seeks redemption as an adventurer for hire. Teaming up with old friends and new companions, Vash slowly starts trying to do the right thing and help people. But, with enemies and betrayal surrounding him, will Vash conquer his inner darkness and become the hero he was always meant to be?
