Myrsha

The half elf Marisha is alone in a hostile world. She's desperate for meaningful connections with others, and hungry for the power to defend herself and those she holds dear.  Her connections range from an ancient sadistic witch who abuses and torments her in the name of education, to the pettiest of bullies that treats her like trash. Or the so called backstabbing friends. Yet, love and friendship can be found even in the strangest of places. Forcefully taken from her noble mansion at a young age, she longs to go home. After years of slavery, she finally have the chance at gaining some power of her own.  Marisha finds herself in a large crowded hall made out of sapphire, and here comes the order to kill. “This is a weeding. Only ten living souls are allowed to leave this hall. If by the end of the day there are more than ten souls left breathing, you'll all die!” It's about a struggle for freedom. It's about a struggle for power. But power and freedom come at a price. Whether it's morality and a clean conscience. Dignity and a sense of ego. Trust and love. Happiness and peace. The demand for power do not discriminate about the price she has to pay. Power will consume every free piece of her soul until there'll be no shred of freedom left in it.  Freedom is the idea that you have every path available to you. But to achieve freedom, you only have one path, the path to power. Rakisha, Mother of all Demons. * To add a tag or two: [Progression Dark Fantasy] [Cultivation style magic progression in a medieval fantasy setting] Expect: High fantasy. Dark fantasy. High amount of action scenes. Weak to strong.  Characters' deaths.  Villains' deaths.  Tragedy, lots of it. An original world with its own cultures, countries, politics, races, and religions.  Secrets to uncover about the MC's origins. An original physics based magic system that's discovered along with the MC. Magic... lots and lots of magic. Demons, Fae, Elementals, and a wide variety of unworldly creatures.  Multiple conlangs (Fantasy languages. They have a full or a partial translations if the MC understands them. Gibberish if she doesn't.)  Colorful internal monologues. (The colors can be turned off. There are very simple instructions on how to do that in the notes.)  Explicit gore. Fade to black sexual content. (If this ever change I'll cover the explicit scenes with a spoiler mark.) * Author blabber:  Although I'm a fan of litRPG stories, I can't bring myself to write one. Systems ruin my immersion and I highly value immersion in my fantasy. I did add something that's 'system-like' at the end of each chapters for litRPG fans. But it's not a system, just a way to keep track of things the MC knows. This story and world are quite dark and dystopian. Expect characters deaths, even important characters. I kill by a dice throw, and I write by a dice throw. Expect gory scenes and the darker side of the human nature. Although, the sun does shine between the dark clouds at times.  The story pacing may be a little different than what you're used to. The dates are there for a reason.  * The colors formatting is optional and can be turned off if it bothers you. Simple instructions on how to do that in the first chapter's notes. * If you're not reading it on Royal Road, you're missing out.  Discord server.
