Since birth, Jill has been locked in a dark cell wishing for one thing: freedom. She meets Raphtalia, a girl in the same situation as her. Raphtalia’s dream is to abolish the wall separating the barbaric outsiders and the City of Ionia, a utopia ignorant of crime.
Amazed by her words, Jill vows to assist Raphtalia in achieving her dream. One day, Jill’s wish became a reality, though costing her friend’s life. Free from the shackles, Jill ventures into the outside world, trying to find a way to unite the two lands.
