The Story of Felix & Scarlet ["Lost in Paradise" Early Draft]

This is a draft version of my series "Terrestrial Paradise." It is a SIGNIFICANTLY darker version of the canon story, focusing more on isolationism in a confined space--less action and more drama. When writing it, I was thinking deeply about depression and human nature. This 50+ chapter version emphasized that. If you're reading the new version (not out yet), this should serve as an interesting contrast. And if you're a reader of both, hopefully the comparison between this version and the old are entertaining for you.  I enjoyed writing this version of the story, and I did so knowing it would only click with a certain amount of people. It had its issue, true, and I've hopefully fixed all of them with the new edition of the series. The new version will include a different main character with a more vague backstory. The world building, religious, and social themes mattered more to me. The character was a vehicle for that. And Felix's story was essentially concluded in these few chapters. There's no point rehashing it to get to a certain point again. Essentially, for the final version, I will be updating based on feedback, altering the MC, integrating elements from other stories I outlined but never published, and am combining all that into the definitive fantasy story that I want to tell.  Anyways, thank you to those reading it or who have read it. I very much appreciate your support! Scarlet Embers is many things. A magnificent fighter. A borderline genius. An innovator and inventor. A thirty-year-old lawyer from New York City who used to be a man before his untimely death. And, not unsurprisingly, severely mentally scarred. Having started her second life over again in a strange new world, Scarlet, formerly Felix Cortez, must navigate what it means to be human again from a whole new perspective. In this fantasy, adventure-filled drama isekai, Scarlet will struggle with her place in a world seemingly older than her own, yet modern in unique ways. With swords and powers invigorating her formerly saddened heart and the tribulations of womanhood undermining her mental health, Scarlet will be forced to adapt or succumb to her...Terrestrial Paradise!
