The Truck Effect

To save a universe, a reincarnator must die. This keeps happening and has never made any sense. Lamutri is a Chapel assassin of the multiversal House of Fate, and wants to know why. For dispatching reincarnators, he is promised ascent. But his reality-altering Defects keep him strangled at the bottom. When straightforward missions start going horribly, exponentially wrong, the Chapel holds Lamutri to blame. There’s a simple solution: murder the problem. But with the fate of universes in his hands, he realises someone has been keeping very significant secrets. For a very long time.
