The Untamed beast: [ Writathon] LitRPG Apocalypse

David felt it in his mind. Eerie whispers and mad ravings. He was turning into a Pseudo-Dragon. A Karmic being  deemed earth lacking, instead of wiping us out, she restarted Gaia’s mana forges. The apocalypse arrived, infrastructure collapsed  and it unleashed horribly mutated beings upon us. Even humans weren’t spared, their flesh twisted with beasts they once thought to be prey. He searched for food but found a changed world, hell bent on devouring him whole. He knew he couldn’t survive alone. At first the runic barrier, of the dagger-eared folk, held firm. A place that was a sanctuary for survivors. The barrier soon fell under a deep betrayal. Rats evolved carrying plague and disaster on their backs as they chased the survivors down. Everything that was once right, become wrong. People he had protected twisted into monstrous rat-human hybrids, all under the machinations of an old acquaintance David had once betrayed.  Unity, the old magic, will rally them once more, but at what cost?
