Underkeeper

Arc 1 is stubbed! Bernt might have graduated from the Mage Academy, but not everyone has the money or the connections to launch any kind of lucrative or prestigious career as a mage. Now, a few years later, Bernt finds himself working for City Maintenance as an Underkeeper among the other rejects of Halfbridge's magery. But hey, it's a stable job, and that's what counts. With the help of his unlicensed and unregistered soul-devouring demonic familiar, he'll save enough to launch his career as an adventurer - just as soon as he can afford some proper gear.  If only there were a faster way... Accompany our magical sanitation worker as adventure finds him instead and he finds himself increasingly embroiled in the plots of people and organizations more powerful than himself.  what to expect: slow progression, coming of age, blue collar magery, character development what not to expect: power fantasy, dunking on n00bs, harems, blue screens, numbers Book 1 now on Amazon: https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B0DVBYB3J1?maas=&ref=
