Tales Of The Dark Mage: New Moon| Part I

Sora lost his whole world at the age of six. His powerful mage war-hero father was killed in battle, and weeks later his caring younger older brother died at the hands of the same killers. Sora's doting and formidable mother Maina, known as the "God of Mages," Maina sent her other three older children to Rowan Academy, meanwhile Maina could only entrust Sora to a royal mage family while she set out on a vengeance-fueled crusade. There, the mournful Sora met Sophia Accordia, the only child of the Accordia’s. A prideful young royal yearning to become the 'Goddess of all Magic'. Sora befriended an abrasive but lonely Sophia, igniting purpose within his grief, he swore to help Sophia achieve her dream, becoming her loyal guard and right hand. Under the strict tutelage of Master Benson's training, Sora and Sophia bonded deeply. On Sora's 8th birthday, he gained a grimoire containing the dark magic spirit Rin, who promised immense power - at a price. As they relentlessly trained for nine years removed from his tragedy, Sora and Sophia attempted Rowan Academy's grueling entrance trials. If accepted, their journey to make Sophia the goddess of all magic would truly begin—Sora as her faithful protector and avenger, Sophia as his purpose and light. But first, they have seven days of intelligence and combat exams, if they prove themselves through Rowan's trials, then they shall be worthy.   *Author note I'm about to change chapters 1-30 since I didn't flesh out the mc enough or didn't give the proper backstory. Be ready for the first volume. Coming out sometime in 2025 or 2026. The first volume is going to be different in regards of the story and the style of writing. Looking back on the early chapters, I want to do things a lot different when I first created this story. *Author Note This fiction is a participant of the WriTEr's pledge.
